Maximum passenger load 120 people.  For events with food and beverage service, 80-90 passengers is recommended

The Potomac sails from the foot of Clay Street in Jack London Square, Oakland. Pick up and drop off is available at other sites in San Francisco and Sausalito. There is a fee of $500 for remote docking.

The Potomac has a preferred list of fine caterers, all of whom have served successfully aboard the ship. These caterers are familiar with the unique requirements of the vessel.

The Potomac is competitively priced with other charter vessels of her size. The rate is $5,000 for a 3-hour cruise. Additional time is billed at $1,000 per hour thereafter. Dockside events are available at $500 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. There is a $200 refundable cleaning fee required for all charters.

Limited space and power accommodations are available for live entertainment. We do have some leads on entertainers. We also have a full-ship Bogen Sound System with remote mike; CDs, Ipods, and tapes can be accommodated.

Two to four Potomac Docents will represent the museum and are delighted to take informal tours for your guests and assist in any way required.

Non-profit 501(c) 3 organizations may qualify for a reduced rate; however the Executive Director must approve any reduced fee rate request.

The Potomac is NOT available for rent on Mondays and Tuesdays except by special arrangement.
